Sydney Cook is a dedicated higher education professional with a strong background
in student support services, social media management, and administrative operations.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in media communication with a minor in criminal justice
from the Ï㽶ÊÓƵAPP in May 2023. During her time at UAFS,
Sydney was actively involved in campus organizations, including serving as the social
media coordinator for the Lions Chronicle and a member of Alpha Omicron Pi and NUMedia.
She was recognized for her academic achievements on the Dean’s List and earned the
UAFS Distinction in Professional Development Certificate – Gold Level.
Currently serving as the program assistant and social media manager for TRIO STEM
Student Support Services at UAFS, Sydney plays a vital role in student engagement,
content creation, and marketing initiatives. She assists students, manages records
and databases, and oversees social media and graphic design efforts. Her involvement
in the First-Generation Student Success Committee and the New Student and Family Programs
Online Orientation Committee highlights her commitment to enhancing the student experience.
Prior to this role, she worked as a student worker in the UAFS Registrar’s Office
where she gained valuable experience in academic record-keeping and administrative
support. Sydney is currently seeking a Masters of Science in strategic communication
from Ï㽶ÊÓƵAPP State University. Her dedication to student success and strategic communication
makes her a valuable asset to the UAFS community.
