Biography
Dr. Dennis Siler is a professor with a Ph.D. in English from the University of Ï㽶ÊÓƵAPP with an emphasis on Shakespeare and Renaissance literature and drama and a M.A. in English from Wake Forest University. His book "The Influence of the Roman Poet Ovid on Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream" was published by Mellen Press in 2010. Another book, a collection of scholarly essays entitled "Parley P. Pratt and the Making of Mormonism," which he co-edited with two colleagues, was published by Arthur Clark Company (a division of O.U. Press) in November 2011. His research interests include Renaissance drama, performance pedagogy, literary tourism, and period music as well as Native American literature. His most recent projects involve the alchemical drama in English literature from Shakespeare to J.K. Rowling.
