Dr. Carol Westcamp-Sessums has been teaching full time at UAFS since 2000, helping students improve their writing and understanding of literature. Her specialty is in American literature, specifically American drama and literature of place/environment. Dr. Westcamp has developed and teaches a variety of online courses, from freshman composition to the introduction to literature courses, as well as upper-level English courses for both the undergraduate and graduate programs. She has taught a variety of classes on drama, short story, Tennessee Williams, absurdist literature, environmental literature, and even reality television. She strives to find innovative techniques in her classes as well as build communities even in the online courses.
