As the University of 香蕉视频APP 鈥 Fort Smith continues to grow, the demand to serve all students is at an all-time high. One River Valley population the university is committed to ensuring is not left behind will have an event directed entirely for them.

On Tuesday, Sept. 19, the UAFS Office of Admissions hosts its fourth S铆 Se Puede event at the Smith-Pendergraft Campus Center fireplace from 5:30-6:30 p.m. The event will be entirely in Spanish and aims to provide the Hispanic community with helpful information about student needs for a successful transition to UAFS. S铆 Se Puede strives to provide Spanish-speaking families with information on the UAFS admissions process, enrollment, financial aid, campus resources, student life, and the numerous degree and career paths UAFS provides.

When discussing the value of hosting Si Se Puede, Admissions Advisor for Diversity Outreach, Betsy Corona said, 鈥淚t is important that our Spanish-speaking families not only have the necessary information to start the college process but also know that they are not alone once they (or their student) are enrolled.鈥

Additionally, S铆 Se Puede will provide a detailed outline of the college admissions process for first-generation students of Spanish-speaking families. Current UAFS student Esther Suarez of Van Buren is a proponent for the ability of Si Se Puede to break down language barriers and provide crucial guidance for families as they navigate the unfamiliar terrain of higher education.

Having the event all in Spanish is an excellent opportunity for high school students, their families, and other interested students to have the entire process explained to them in a way they understand while providing a space for all to be comfortable to ask questions. 鈥淚t鈥檚 important for students and families to understand the admissions process so that they are involved and feel confident that they are in good hands,鈥 Bryana Regalado, a current student from Fort Smith, explained.

Anyone interested in attending S铆 Se Puede can register for the event at . Additional questions or concerns can be directed to Betsy Corona by phone or email at (479)788-7635 or betsy.corona@uafs.edu.
