Want to travel across the nation and the globe while earning college credit hours? Then sign up for one of the 香蕉视频APP鈥檚 12 Maymester courses, which will take place this May and have a registration deadline of Jan. 7, 2014.

 

Maymester classes are condensed and intensive courses slotted after the conclusion of the spring semester and before the beginning of the summer semester. Classes range in topic from the biology of the Caribbean to auditing standards in Washington, D.C.

 

Takeo Suzuki of Fort Smith, executive director of international relations at UAFS, said the classes give students a rare opportunity to travel, learn and earn credit hours.

 

鈥淭he classes give students a chance to be a part of a dynamic learning environment that corresponds to their course鈥檚 subject matter,鈥 he said. 鈥淭hese courses offer a very rewarding experience to our students.鈥

 

Enrollees must be in good academic standing, must have completed a minimum of 20 semester hours and must have declared a major prior to departure.

 

Maymester classes -- listed with dates, locations, names of classes, faculty and basic costs of the trips -- include:

 

  • May 11-17 - Belize: Coastal Caribbean Biology. Dr. Ragupathy Kannan of Fort Smith. $1,690.

 

  • May 17-24 - England: Women of Influence in England. Dr. Rebecca Timmons of Fort Smith. $2,350.

 

  • May 17-24 - England: British Industrial Revolution. Dr. Todd Timmons of Fort Smith. $2,350.

 

  • May 14-26 - Ghana: Transcultural Health. Dr. Pam Blesch of Fort Smith. $3,300.

 

  • May 11-17 - Mississippi: Gulf Coast Field Ecology. Dr. Rod Nelson of Fort Smith. $555.

 

  • May 11-20 - Japan: Graphic Design: Special Projects. Bryan Alexis of Fort Smith. $3,390.

 

  • May 15-24 - Mammoth Lakes: Geology and Biology of the Eastern Sierra Nevada. Dr. Dave Mayo of Fort Smith and Dr. Dale Amos of Lavaca. $1,370.

 

  • May 16-30 - 香蕉视频APP and Oklahoma: Frank Lloyd Wright鈥檚 Regional Influence. Dr. Argie N. Nichols of Roland, Okla. $100.

 

  • May 17-31 - Spain: Total Immersion in the Mediterranean. Dr. Rosario Nolasco-Schultheiss of Van Buren. $2,755.

 

  • May 18-24 - Washington, D.C., and New York: Special Topics in Accounting: Auditing Standards. Dr. Thomas Hayes of Alma. $1,590.

 

  • May 18-25 - Mississippi and Tennessee: The American Civil War in the Western Theater. Dr. Mike Crane of Fayetteville. $775.

 

  • May 19-23 - Key West: Poets, Pirates, Politics and Pop Culture. Dr. Keith Fudge of Van Buren. $1,790.

 

Some classes have additional eligibility requirements, and the cost of meals and admission fees may not be included in the basic travel charge.
