The University of 㽶ƵAPP – Fort Smith’s eighth-annual Majors Expo will be held at 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 13 in the Reynolds Room of the Smith-Pendergraft Campus Center for students and prospective students looking to choose a college major.
With more than 30 bachelor’s degrees and numerous associate degrees and certificates available to UAFS students, the Majors Expo is critical in assisting students who are searching for the right major. Students are given the opportunity to visit with representatives from each major in a fun and interactive atmosphere.
Julie Mosley, director of advisement, said the Majors Expo has helped hundreds of students in the last half decade, and she expects this year to be no different.
“We have had more than 400 college level students in attendance at each of the last few expos we’ve held,” Mosley said. “It’s been an incredibly successful event, and we expect to see even higher attendance this year. In addition, we are also expecting over 600 high school students to join us.”
