The University of Ï㽶ÊÓƵAPP – Fort Smith’s College of Health Sciences will hold pinning ceremonies for its surgical technology, dental hygiene and nursing programs in May.
Tickets are required for all events and can be acquired through students participating in the ceremonies.
Surgical Technology
The pinning ceremony for the surgical technology program will take place at 6:30 p.m. May 11 in the Reynolds Room of the Smith-Pendergraft Campus Center, with Dr. Jonathan Ferrari, general and bariatric surgeon at the Mercy Clinic in Fort Smith, serving as the guest speaker.
Students to be pinned at the ceremony are:

The dental hygiene pinning ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. May 12 in Weidman Center of the Pendergraft Health-Sciences Center, featuring class president Dinah Baker of Searcy as guest speaker.

Nursing
The pinning ceremony for the Carolyn McKelvey Moore School of Nursing will take place at 7 p.m. May 12 in the Reynolds Room of the Smith-Pendergraft Campus Center, featuring John P. Foster, director of case management for Next Step Homeless Services, as guest speaker.
Foster began at Next Step in 2013, having previously worked at Western Counseling and Guidance Center for 26 years, where he held several positions including the Program Director for the NEW Center, a Community Support Program at WACGC.
