Sixteen camps offered this summer through the University of Ï㽶ÊÓƵAPP – Fort Smith will give local children and teenagers the opportunity for fun in the areas of music, science and engineering and athletics.

Music Camps
June 12-16: Summer Band Camp for entering grades 7-12, directed by Dr. Alexandra Zacharella and featuring Dr. Shannon Kitelinger from San Diego State University as guest conductor. The camp will be held from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. each day. Fees are $210 for commuters and $410 for residents. Scholarships are available for the All Region and All State student musicians, children of UAFS faculty and staff, and incoming UAFS music students.

June 26-30: Jazz Band Camp for entering grades 9-12, directed by Dr. Christopher Barrick and held from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. each day. The camp is open to all band and jazz band instruments and will include a Friday night concert. Fees are $210 for commuters and $410 for residents. Scholarships are available for the All Region and All State student musicians, children of UAFS faculty and staff, and incoming UAFS music students. July 10-14: LION Imagination for entering grades 5-6 and held from 8:30-11:30 a.m. each day. In the camp, students will explore areas of applied technology, engineering and science through exciting, hands-on projects. Fees are $40 which includes a T-shirt, project materials and snacks. The camp is sponsored by the College of Applied Science and Technology and the College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics at UAFS, in collaboration with the Ï㽶ÊÓƵAPP Department of Higher Education.
