Move In FAQs
How many people can I bring to help me move in?
We ask that you bring only the number you need to help you move in to your new room. Volunteers will be available through Numa’s Move-In Crew to assist you with unloading and carrying your personal belongings to your campus home.
Will there be anyone available to help me with move-in?
A limited number of volunteers will be available at the Lion’s Den and Sebastian Commons to help you unload your vehicle and carry your belongings to your room. Additionally, both facilities will have carts for check-out to assist with large loads.
Where do I pick up my keys?
If you live in the Lion’s Den, you will check in at the Lion’s Den South Building after parking in Lot K at the corner of Kinkead Avenue and Waldron Road. You will need your photo ID to check-in.
If you live in Sebastian Commons, you will check in at the Housing Office located at 801 N. 49th St. after parking in Lot D. You will need your photo ID to check-in.
Where do I get my parking permit?
Temporary Move-In Day permits will be provided to you upon check-in. This temporary permit will allow you to unload near your facility. You can or through your My.UAFS account.
Lion’s Den residents will be issued a green permit. Sebastian Commons residents will be given an orange permit. Covered parking permits are available for Sebastian Commons residents on a first-come, first-served base.
